It is a joy to have a life with a close and furry companion, but when you’re relocating in LA, even locally, it can be very stressful for them. Nothing beats taking your pooch to the dog parks in LA to get some good fun and exercise. Fortunately, there are plenty of great parks to visit and let your doggy run wild and have a great time. And when you’ve decided where exactly you’re going, give our Los Angeles movers a call.

Learn Los Angeles Rules and Regulations Before You Go to a Dog Park

When moving with pets, they can get stressed very quickly. There are sudden major changes in their surroundings; they’re having movers come in their home from a hired Los Angeles moving company and take everything – it’s a lot for your pets to process. Your first plan of action for them upon getting settled should be to take them to a dog park. Parks allow them to get much-needed exercise and get familiar with their new surroundings. But, before you do that, you’ll have to get acquainted with the rules and regulations to keep you and your furry companion safe and out of trouble.

Runyon Canyon Dog Park Near Hollywood

Located right next to Hollywood, this is not your ordinary park as it also has 160 acres of winding trails leading up to a fenced-in area for pooches to run and play. This place has quickly become one of the most popular dog parks in L.A. because of its proximity to Hollywood neighborhoods. If you love the outdoors, hiking, and love watching your pooch run around frantically trying to pee on everything before any of the other mutts do, Runyon is the right place for you.

Enjoy Hiking With Your Canine at Runyon Canyon

Runyon Canyon is one of the best hikes in LA. The size is one of the most significant factors in why this place is so popular. There are different off-leash zones you can allow your pooches to run in, but make sure you keep your leash with you in between these zones. You can get a great workout and so can your canine, so bring lots of water with you.

Laurel Canyon Dog Park

A bit harder to find, Laurel Canyon park sits at a clearing within the area, so that means you’re going to have to take a long trip if you’re living in Beverly Hills. But what you get for a long drive is well worth it. Your pooch will have plenty of space to run and play. There are also other fenced zones for small pooches and ramps for elderly canines, and even a playground for kids.

The Best and Largest Fenced-In Area of all Dog Parks in LA

The dog park has 3 acres of fenced-in land for your pets to enjoy. One of the biggest attractions is the amount of space there is and the beautiful scenery. Because of how big it is, it’s recommended that you have a GPS tracker with your furry friend in case they manage to get outside of the fence and you have to search for them. Beyond that, it has something for everyone – not just the pooches.

Lake Hollywood Park

If you’re wondering where to live in Los Angeles, you might want to consider moving somewhere close to Lake Hollywood Park. This place is considered by many people to be the best place for your furry companions. Right underneath the Hollywood Sign for a nice view, this popular place has lots of parking, lots of grass, and is right next to Griffith Park that has beautiful scenery and hiking trails.

The Boneyard

The Boneyard has become quite popular as it was created in the middle of a large park and dedicated to our furry friends. The park is filled with things for your dog to enjoy some playtime. It has areas for both large and small pooches to enjoy and benches, trees, weather structures for shade, and drinking fountains. It’s truly a nice little slice of heaven in Culver City – for our canine companions, of course.

Culver City’s Very Own Off-Leash Dog Park

Placed in Culver City Park, the area known as “The Boneyard” was designated by a unanimous council decision and a $250,000 grant from the Environmental Protection Agency in 2003. Another $100,000 was added by donors and friends to design and create Culver City’s very own dog park. Now it is enjoyed by many residents of Culver City and all over the L.A. area.
